Appointments

Urgent appointments

If you need an urgent appointment (Monday to Friday), please contact our practice on 020 8523 7722. Our reception team will ask you for further details related to your urgent query. This will help our team to address your problem as quickly as possible.

Routine appointments

To request a routine appointment please use our online system via eConsult form. eConsult form is available on our practice website (you don’t need access to any other platform). Please go to our home page. eConsult link is available at the top of the page. You can use this service from Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm.

Once completed, you will receive a confirmation that your eConsult was submitted to us successfully. Our clinical team will review your query, and we will respond via the telephone call, text, or email by 6.30pm on the following working day.

If a health problem develops or gets worse before our practice responds:

  • call us on 020 8523 7722 or, if the practice is closed, call 111
  • in emergencies, call 999 or go to A&E

E4 Primary Care Network (PCN) Enhanced Access Appointments

If you are registered at The Ridgeway Surgery, you can now access additional evening and weekend appointments with a range of healthcare professionals, including GPs, Nurses, First Contact Physiotherapists, Phlebotomists, and more thanks to our E4 PCN Enhanced Access Service.

We understand that attending appointments during standard opening hours isn’t always convenient. That’s why we offer flexible appointment times that may better suit your schedule. These appointments are not limited to urgent matters and are available to all patients registered with a GP practice within the E4 Primary Care Network.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • by text

Appointments by phone, video call or by text can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

To cancel your appointment:

  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
  • using the GP online system – Patient Access

If you need help when we are closed

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10am.
